What is St. George Village?

St. George Village is Roswell’s first senior living Life Care community, a not-for-profit Catholic sponsored community which provides residences for seniors 62 years and older. The community features independent living in an active resort-style setting, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing home and rehabilitation services.
What is a Life Care Community

A Life Care Community is a community for seniors who want the security of being cared for as needed throughout the aging process. At St. George Village, a Life Care contract allows for changing needs and different levels of service and housing over time at an affordable monthly fee.
How does Life Care work?

Life Care works by providing a residence for life whether you are able to live independently, require assistance with daily living activities or need 24-hour nursing care services.

The Life Care benefit affords a comfortable and well appointed living environment with assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing home services available at a reduced rate, avoiding costly options one encounters when failing to plan for their future healthcare needs. For couples it assures that if you have different care needs from your spouse you will never be seperated by distance and can afford the quality care provided through our continuum.

The entrance fee invested at St. George Village can be accessed in the future to help fund the predictable healhcare services fees. When you no longer live at St. George Village, a percentage of the entrance fee is returned to you or your estate once sufficient proceeds are collected.
Can seniors from the greater Roswell area access assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing home and rehabilitation services?

Yes, seniors can access different levels of living in Wellington Court provided that our Life Care residents do not have a need for those services at that particular time. St. George Village Life Care residents receive priority access to Wellington Court. The fee structure differs from the Life Care program and requires a much lesser entrance fee with a higher monthly service fee.
Who owns St. George Village?

St. George Village is owned by Catholic Continuing Care Retirement Communities Inc., a not-for-profit corporation. With a longstanding tradition of humanitarian service to Atlanta and its residents, its vision is to offer the highest quality senior living lifestyle to people of all faiths, consistent with the traditions, philosophies and values of the Catholic Church.
Do I have to be of the Catholic faith to live at St. George Village?

St. George Village is open to people of all faiths or no faith.
Who manages St. George Village?

Wesley Woods Senior Living, Inc., an affiliate of Emory Healthcare of Atlanta, manages St. George Village. Wesley Woods Senior Living has been committed to providing senior living options that embrace Christian values for more than 45 years. The mission of Wesley Woods Senior Living is to help people age in healthy, affordable and ethical ways through programs of service, education and research.
What amenities and services are available?

St. George Village features a 20,500 square foot clubhouse which includes an auditorium, dining room with outdoor terrace area overlooking a lake, lounge and café, as well as a fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub. Additional amenities offered in the community include a formal living room with a fireplace, business center, arts and crafts studio, card and game room, library, beauty and barber salon as well as gracious walking trails through out the beautifully landscaped grounds. St. George Village also provides an array of services including monthly meal credits, weekly housekeeping and flat linen service, scheduled transportation, activities program, security controlled entrance, paid utilities and basic cable (except telephone), maintenance of the residence and major appliances as well as the commons areas, landscaping and grounds, emergency call system with 24 hour monitoring and priority access into assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing home and rehabilitation services. What types of apartments are available?

At St. George Village apartment sizes vary because each has been designed for comfortable and gracious living, maximum safety and accessibility. Your choices include one-bedroom, two-bedroom and two-bedroom with den floor plans. Apartment homes at St. George Village feature generous living space for furnishings and ample closet space for storage; most floor plans feature a screened porch or sunroom. All units come with a fully-equipped kitchen including a top freezer refrigerator with automatic ice maker and internal water filter, range, microwave oven and dishwasher. How much will this cost?

Residents pay a one time 80% or 90% (depending on the Life Care plan chosen) refundable entrance fee that entitles them to the lifetime use of their apartment home as long as they maintain an independent lifestyle. The entrance fee also allows residents access to all campus amenities and assures priority access to assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing home and rehabilitation services in the future. The entrance fee does not deliver title to the residence. If the resident leaves for any reason, the entrance fee will be refunded at the percentage applicable to the contract once St. George Village has received sufficient proceeds from the next remarketing and occupancy of the apartment or a similar apartment.Check out our Value Calculator to see how affordable it can be!
Is there a monthly fee?

Yes. A monthly maintenance fee is charged to cover all amenities and services.
How does the reservation process work?

Once your residence has been selected, 10% of the entrance fee is required in order to reserve your new apartment home. The balance of the deposit is due upon the date determined for occupancy.
Can you refund my 10 percent deposit if my situation changes?

Yes. All deposit monies will be placed in an escrow account until your residence is ready for occupancy. Should you or your spouse die, become disabled or have a serious financial setback after executing the Residence agreement but before moving into St. George Village your entire entrance fee will be refunded. If you withdraw for any other reason than those stated, you will receive a full reimbursement less a $500 application fee.
What if the desired style of apartment is not available, do you have a waitlist?

Yes. A priority member list option is available for those apartment style homes that are fully reserved. A small deposit is required to maintain a priority member status for a specific apartment home style currently unavailable. Once your apartment home becomes available the priority member deposit amount is then applied to the 10% deposit.
How do I qualify for residency at St. George Village?

To become a resident at St. George Village, you must be 62 years of age or have a spouse that is 62, possess income and resources sufficient to meet the financial requirements and be capable of living independently.
